SECTION VII – PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING AND USE
STEPS TO BE TAKEN IN CASE MATERIAL IS RELEASED OR SPILLED
Eliminate ignition sources, provide good ventilation, dike spill area and add absorbent earth or sawdust to spilled liquid. Thoroughly wet with water and mix. Remove with inert absorbent.
WASTE DISPOSAL METHOD
Collect absorbent/water/spilled liquid mixture into containers and add enough water to cover. Consult local, state, and federal hazardous waste regulation before disposing into approved hazardous waste landfills. Obey relevant laws.
PRECAUTIONS TO BE TAKEN IN HANDLING AND STORING
Material should be stored in a cool area between (60F – 85F). Once mixed with Neptune Hardener part B, do not recap container with mixture. Pressure due to carbon dioxide release will build up in capped container with mixture.
SHIPPING INFORMATION: Not regulated as a DOT hazardous material.
SECTION VIII – CONTROL MEASURES
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION
Use a NIOSH-approved, air-supplied or air-purifying respirator or full gas mask for organic vapors and acids in areas where vapor concentrations may be above TLV limit.
VENTILATION
General mechanical ventilation or local exhaust should be suitable to keep vapor concentrations below TLV.
PROTECTIVE GLOVES
Impermeable chemical handling gloves for skin protection such as nitrile rubber.
EYE PROTECTION
Use chemical safety glasses, splash goggles, and face shields for eye protection.
OTHER PROTECTIVE CLOTHING OR EQUIPMENT
Use impermeable aprons or protective clothing whenever possible to prevent skin contact.
HYGIENIC PRACTICES
